Roasted Tomato Sauce

Score tomatoes for easy removal of skins Cut tomatoes in half and place cut side down on the baking sheet Sprinkle or drizzle other ingredients over top Roast at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes Remove tomato skins and place sauce in a bowl Use a fork to break up the sauce Reheat to serve or place in ziplock bags to freeze Store in freezer bags, and freeze for later!

Ingredients

2 T of The Olive Bin's Tuscan Herb Olive Oil
4 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 lbs tomatoes

Directions

  1. Score tomatoes for easy removal of skins
  2. Cut tomatoes in half and place cut side down on the baking sheet
  3. Sprinkle or drizzle other ingredients over top
  4. Roast at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes
  5. Remove tomato skins and place sauce in a bowl 
  6. Use a fork to break up the sauce
  7. Reheat to serve or place in ziplock bags to freeze

 

Store in freezer bags, and freeze for later!
